Race Weekend Information for Run for the Fund 5K

Have you ever been stranded waiting to be rescued?  Motorists rely on towing operators to help them when they are broke down or in an accident. 

The job of a towing operator is one of the most dangerous professions in the world.  These men and women work perilously close to high-speed traffic and face dangers of impaired, inattentive and distracted drivers. One operator dies every 6 days in the line of service to the motoring public.

Through fundraising efforts and the generosity of corporations, individuals and industry association, the Towing Museum launched the Survivor Fund to provide financial support to families who have lost a loved one in the line of service.  The International Towing Museum is located on Broad Street in Chattanooga, considered the birthplace of the towing industry. 

The 2^nd annual Run for the Fund will bring walkers and runners together to support the Survivor Fund, help families in need and raise awareness of the dangers of the towing/recovery profession.

The race is chip timed and the course starts and ends at the Internatinational Towing Museum following the nearby Tennessee Riverwalk.
